Teaching and writing

EDIT: Please excuse typos and broken sentences, page is under construction

Since 2010 I have been teaching at various universities in Vienna, around 40-50 courses now, at the beginning mainly exercise-classes. Figure 1 gives an overview about my steps.
Figure 1: Teaching over the years.

This changed during my PhD and I am also giving my first lectures.  In summer 2021 I advides my first BEd-thesis about infection-models and social distancing, I wrote a short post about it here. During winter 2021/2022 it was followed by two others, Lena analyzed Game-Theory (here) and Lukas the rating system used in climbing during Olympia (here). Before that, I was also a maths teacher for 3.5 years in the upper level at an AHS in Vienna.

In my CV you can find an overview of my teaching activities, have a look at my current ones here [1,2]. Additionally here are some evaluations.

In the following, I will tell you a little about other activities. In addition to "paid" teaching, I regularly hold question and answer sessions for STEOP at the University of Vienna in the subject of mathematics with the Mathematics Student Council, of which I have been a proud member since about 2009.
At the BOKU I have held several times with the ÖH there question-studies for the lecture ABWL (business administration), here is a (in my opinion exaggerated) letter of thanks.

During this time I was given the possibility to work for three publishing houses/projects.
-) I wrote about 60 didactic articles for the German Mathematical Association (DMV).
-) For the ÖBV I have carried out editorial and consulting activities for their school exam generator project.
-) For MatheSpass, now Studily, I created about 800 tasks for their homepage.
To sum that up, yes, I like to think up nice and meaningful examples.
-) I recently supported the amazing project Lama for teachers which now even is a seminar at the math faculty. In the future, I am planning to donate some exercises

With Quirin Söhnlein I worked on his lecture 2019 in Vienna for the visualization of training effects. For me, the comprehensible visualization of facts is one of the main tasks when talking to people from non-mathematics. I was also giving a talk for the soccer team Austria Wien about modern statistical scouting methods.

I try to lecture as often as possible at the BOKU in the institute seminar there. This was not only about my research but also about the opportunities and disadvantages of the central matura.

I have been planning didactic articles (for school and beginning of studies) about the following (working-) titles for some time (oh the time, it's always missing). If they are finished some day, you will find a link there. Turning some of these ideas into a bachelor's thesis is also possible. Please contact me if you are interested.

HEY! If you're one of my students and by chance ended up bored on my homepage, don't forget doing a sketch on the blackboard whenever it is possible!
