WFNMC 2026, team competitions

Since 2024, I have organised a range of team mathematics competitions in Graz. I am delighted that we can present some of the results and experiences from these events at the WFNMC. In 2026 alone, more than 1,000 students came to the University of Graz to participate in these competitions. Especially at Náboj, students seem to enjoy the dynamic format in which they bring their solutions directly to the judges and immediately receive a new problem. My student David is currently investigating how different answer formats influence competition dynamics and participants’ problem-solving behaviour.
