Valerie elaborated in her thesis "Die Gewinnwahrscheinlichkeit im Tennis mithilfe der Monte Carlo Simulation"on a nice idea from the book "Game, Set and Match for Mathematics" by Ian Stewart. How do I approximate win probabilities (in tennis) using the Monte Carlo method? In doing so, she also discussed the law of large numbers as well as Von Mises' idea regarding the school context.
